Pepe’s Cantina isn’t a brand-new concept, but Viera is its newest Brevard County location.
The company operates several Florida restaurants, and the Viera location brings its mix of Mexican favorites, modern dishes and a large cocktail menu to the Space Coast. Pepe’s official menu includes tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, fajitas, bowls, seafood, Mexican tapas and several birria dishes.
There are plenty of reasons to visit for lunch or dinner, but the menu that caught our attention was the one you can only get once a week.
Sunday Brunch at Pepe’s Cantina Viera
Yes — Mexican food and brunch.
And if that combination isn't already on your weekend rotation, it might be after this.
Pepe’s currently serves its dedicated brunch menu Sundays from 11:30 AM until 3 PM. The brunch entrées are listed at $17, with optional protein upgrades available on applicable dishes.
Instead of the usual pancakes and basic breakfast sandwiches, the menu takes recognizable Mexican flavors and turns them into full-on brunch dishes.

Pepe’s version of Avocado Toast: The “avocado toast,” for example, swaps traditional toast for tostones topped with fried eggs, guacamole, cabbage, queso fresco, pickled red onion and chipotle sauce, with a choice of birria or shredded chicken.
But there were two dishes we’d personally order again.
What We Tried: Our Favorite Brunch Dishes
Our first favorite was the chilaquiles.
Pepe’s version starts with tortilla chips tossed in your choice of red or green sauce and adds shredded chicken or birria, fried eggs, cheese, queso fresco, sour cream, pickled red onion and cilantro.
It’s colorful, filling and definitely not the kind of brunch order that leaves you hungry an hour later.
Our other favorite was the Breakfast Bowl with birria.
This one combines roasted potatoes, queso and verde sauces, cheese, fried eggs, guacamole, sour cream, pickled red onions and cilantro with your choice of shredded chicken or birria.
We went birria. That was the right call.
The portions were huge, the plates were bright and colorful, and this ended up being one of those brunches where we kept trying bites from everyone else's order.

Brunch drinks aren't the only thing here.
Pepe’s has a sizable cocktail menu centered heavily around tequila and margaritas.
The restaurant currently offers house and flavored margaritas alongside options like a spicy pineapple margarita, hibiscus-infused margarita, Paleta-Rita, tequila espresso martini, horchata espresso martini, mojitos, sangria and several zero-proof drinks.

You'll find Mexican staples like:

We cover a lot of restaurant openings around the Space Coast, and one of our biggest questions is always:

For us, Pepe’s Sunday brunch gives it one.
Mexican brunch isn't something you find on every corner in Brevard, and dishes like chilaquiles and a birria breakfast bowl, paired with mimosas, sangria and the rest of Pepe’s cocktail menu, give it a different lane from a typical weekend brunch spot.
The portions were generous, the food was colorful, and this was one of those meals that surprised us in a good way.
We aren't normally the people lining up for brunch every Sunday.
