Westin Cocoa Beach: New Oceanfront Hotel, Surf Pool & Opening Update
The Westin Cocoa Beach Resort & Spa is a new $430 Million oceanfront hotel under construction at 1300 N. Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach, Florida. This Space Coast development in Brevard County will bring 502 guest rooms and suites, dining venues, pools, a spa, and an Endless Surf pool. A possible summer 2027 opening remains unconfirmed.
We headed to the beach to check out the construction progress ourselves and the scale really stands out from the sand. The hotel is taking shape, so here’s what locals and future visitors should know.

When will the Westin Cocoa Beach open?
Based on the reservation dates we’ve seen, summer 2027 looks like a possible timeframe for stays. However, booking availability is not an official opening announcement, and dates can change while construction continues.
We’ll update this article when the resort confirms its opening date. If you’re researching places to stay in Cocoa Beach for an upcoming trip, check directly with Marriott before making plans around this new hotel.
What amenities are planned?
According to Marriott’s resort overview, plans include:
The Lineup: an Endless Surf pool.
Water recreation: a resort pool, splash pad, and whirlpool.
Heavenly Spa: treatments and salon services.
Active amenities: pickleball, padel, and a fitness center.
Oceanfront setting: beach access and opportunities to watch rocket launches, depending on launch conditions.
Events: more than 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space.
What restaurants are coming to the Westin Cocoa Beach?
Marriott currently names six venues on its dining page. Its overview mentions eight dining experiences overall; the six named venues are:
The Drift Coastal Kitchen & Bar: casual meals with a Florida focus.
Moon City Diner: a retro diner with American favorites and gelato.
Terra Fina: Italian-inspired dining with steak, seafood, and pasta.
Locals Only: tiki styling, cocktails, and island-inspired food.
The Wax Shack: a surf-inspired café with coffee, casual food, and golf simulators.
The Observatory: a lobby bar serving cocktails and small bites.
The surf and tiki concepts are the part we’re especially curious about as locals. We’ll share more as menus, hours, and access details are announced.
Will the Westin Cocoa Beach offer day passes for residents?
Day passes appear to be a possibility for local residents, but we have not confirmed a program, pricing, eligibility, or what access would include. We are not sure if the pass would include the surf pool, spa, parking, or every resort amenity.
Once we learn more, we’ll update this section with what’s included and how to reserve. For Brevard locals, that could be one of the most useful details to watch.
