Lynora’s story began in South Florida in 1976, when Raffaele and Maria Abbenante, who immigrated from the Italian island of Ponza, started selling pizza by the slice in Lake Worth.
Maria brought her mother’s recipes into the kitchen, laying the foundation for the family’s restaurant business. That history gives a little context to the name you’ll be seeing on New Haven Avenue: Lynora’s has decades of Florida restaurant history behind it.
Lynora’s Melbourne FL: Planned Opening & Outdoor Patio
Lynora’s is planning to open in downtown Melbourne at the end of October 2026, at 529 E. New Haven Avenue. An exact opening day is still pending, so consider late October the target rather than a confirmed reservation date.
It’s also looking like the space will include a large outdoor patio. If that takes shape as expected, we can already picture an outdoor dinner downtown once the weather cools down.
