Looking for the best subs, sandwiches, hoagies or grinders in Brevard County, Florida? We asked the Vibe & Dine community across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to name their favorite sandwich spots on the Space Coast — and then tallied over 300 votes to find the local favorites.
Whether you call it a sub, hoagie, hero or grinder, Brevard takes a good sandwich seriously.
Instead of putting together another list based on ratings or our own opinions, we went directly to the people who eat here every day.
We asked the Vibe & Dine community: What is the best sub in Brevard County? According to over 300 valid community votes tallied by Vibe & Dine across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. And one local Italian market ran away with the #1 spot. Cerrato's Italian Market & Deli ranked #1 for the best subs in Brevard County with 88 votes, followed by Don's Famous Hoagies with 39 votes and Publix with 22. Here are the results:

🥇 1. Cerrato’s Italian Market & Deli
Cerrato’s Italian Market & Deli took the #1 spot in Vibe & Dine's community vote for the best subs in Brevard County.
And it wasn't particularly close. Cerrato’s received 88 total votes, more than twice the votes of the second-place finisher. This Melbourne Italian market and deli has built the kind of local following that becomes obvious anytime someone asks Brevard residents where to get a great Italian sub. If you're searching for an Italian deli, sub shop or sandwich near Melbourne, Florida, this was the strongest recommendation from our community.

The longtime Melbourne spot has exactly the kind of following you'd expect from a place with “Famous Hoagies” in its name. For anyone specifically searching for the best hoagies in Melbourne or Brevard County, Don's belongs near the top of the list.

Yes, Pub Subs made the list. Actually, they made the top three.
Publix collected 22 votes from the Vibe & Dine community. It was also independently mentioned in local online discussions about where to find good subs on the Space Coast — further evidence of the loyal following behind this Titusville-area favorite.

These rankings aren't based on sponsored placement or a list generated from Google ratings. They're based on the HYPER LOCAL Vibe & Dine community.
We collected nominations and votes across our Facebook, Instagram and TikTok communities and combined the valid results. The final dataset included over 300 valid spot-votes.
Our goal isn't to tell Brevard what it should like. It's to capture what people who live here are actually recommending.

Based on Vibe & Dine's community poll, Cerrato’s Italian Market & Deli received the most votes for the best sub in Brevard County, Florida, with 88 votes.
Don's Famous Hoagies came in second with 39 votes, while Publix finished third with 22.

Cerrato's Italian Market & Deli was the overall winner of our Brevard County community poll with 88 votes.
